Local 44 Members Ceglia, Pope, Mann, and Frantz Brought Up On Internal Union Charges
On May 19, Local 44 Business Agent Ed Brown filed, with the Local, internal charges against Local 44 members Tom Ceglia and Frank Pope. In his charges, Brother Brown, alleges that Brother Ceglia and Brother Pope violated several provisions of the Local 44’s Constitution and By-Laws.

Charges brought by Local 44 Member John “Jack” Thomas against former Local 44 Secretary-Treasurer Jennings were sustained by the Local 44 Trial Board and the Local 44 Executive Board.
On April 22, 2009, a trial was held, before the Local 44 Trial Board, on a Charge brought by Local 44 member John M. “Jack” Thomas against former Local 44 Secretary-Treasurer Elliot Jennings.
On June 9, 2009, the Screen Actors Guild announced that its members had voted to approve its TV/Theatrical contracts. The vote counts were overwhelmingly in favor of the agreement which is effective as of June 10, 2009 and expires June 30, 2011.

Former Local 44 Secretary-Treasurer Jennings brought up on Charges by Local 44 President Erin Hennessey
On February 25, 2009, Local 44 President Erin Hennessey filed, with the Local, internal charges against former Local 44 Secretary-Treasurer Elliot Jennings. At an Executive Board meeting held on March 11, 2009, the first reading of these charges was performed and, as the charges met all procedural requirements, cognizance was taken.
